Abstract Submission
December 18, 2007 - March 20, 2008
The Scientific Committee invites delegates who wish to give an oral or poster presentation during the SIOP 2008 Congress to submit an abstract. Abstracts will be accepted online at the SIOP website www.siop.nl. Abstracts sent in by hardcopy, e-mail, fax or floppy disk will not be accepted. Abstract forms and guidelines for submission are available at www.siop.nl.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is March 20, 2008 and this deadline will be strictly observed.

Notification
Notification of acceptance will be sent via e-mail to the submitting author by the end of April 2008. If you have not received notification by May 1, 2008 please contact the SIOP Secretariat at secretariat@siop.nl

Publication
All abstracts will be published on the SIOP website on www.siop.nl.

Presentations
The Scientific Committee will select abstracts for oral presentation. All presentations must be given in English. No interpretation will be provided.

Siop Awards
The SIOP scientific committee selects the highest scoring abstracts in the fields of basic and translational science, clinical trials and developing paediatric oncology programmes for the SIOP awards session. These papers are presented orally during the congress. Three awards are given in each of these categories based on the presentation during the congress. Presenters of these papers are invited to present their papers as special feature in ‘Best of SIOP’ at the forthcoming ASPHO congress.

Best Poster Award
All posters in the clinical disciplines will be considered for the ‘Best Poster’ Awards. Judging criteria include scientific merit, visual presentation and the potential significance of the clinical research.

Registration
Authors who have been notified that their abstract is accepted for oral or poster presentation will be permitted to register at the early registration fee.
